I’ve always been a firm believer in “use what you have.” Most people already have everything they need in their homes to create a beautiful room, they just don’t know it! I’m amazed at how many people I meet that think they must throw everything out and start over to create a look they love. Not so!  Following the basic tenets of proper furniture placement, coordinating colors, properly hung artwork, and creative accessorizing can make a room come alive.

Decorator Touch

Any room can have a decorator touch with a little creativity. My style is warm and inviting with a touch of elegance. When redesigning a room for an individual or a family, my main concern is comfort and increased functionality. When staging a home for resale, my objective is to “sell the dream” to potential buyers by creating an environment they can’t live without as well as enhancing the perceived value of the home. Each client is unique and each home speaks to me in its own way. The only common thread is the amazement my clients express seeing their own things rearranged to look worthy of a decorator magazine.

For years, I've helped family and friends with their decorating as well as decorating my own home.  I've learned from experience the value of upgrading a home to improve the resale value and have personally reaped the benefits of renovating and staging.  Each time, I received back double what I had invested and sold the homes on the first day within $5,000 of the asking price.  I enjoy passing the value of this experience on to my clients.  Whether decorating, staging, or advising on home improvements, I thoroughly welcome interacting with my clients and pleasing them.

Background

My decorating professional background includes being a graduate of the Midwest Staging Redesign Institute, where I received training in Interior Redesign as well as Staging.  I belong to the Midwest Redesign & Staging Association as well as a member of IRIS and the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce.  After years in the financial corporate world, and having my own retail business for seven years, I’ve finally turned to the area I love the best-decorating! I enjoy sharing this passion and talent with my clients who often become friends.
